Empowering young leaders to grow and lead through outdoor adventure, service projects, and real-world experience. Our vision is to develop capable young leaders who are confident and motivated to create positive change in their communities and beyond.
WHI x YLB Program
The Youth Leadership Board is for high school girls who are eager to push themselves, to step outside their comfort zone, and lend their expertise and uniqueness to Wild Hearts Idaho!
This program brings the girl voice into the organization in a fun, supportive, and team-oriented way. You will have the opportunity to challenge yourself, connect with others, learn, and develop skills in public speaking, mentorship, community outreach, fundraising, and event planning!

YLB participants represent Wild Hearts Idaho at our community events, WHI board meetings and outreach events as ambassadors, participants, and volunteers.
Each YLB Youth Leader will identify a personal goal to work towards accomplishing while developing herself as a leader.
YLB participants will work as a team to complete a project that serves WHI as an organization.
YLB participants have opportunities to connect and learn alongside influential female mentors who are engaged women leaders in our community while also learning from guest speakers on YLB chosen topics.

This is a 9-month commitment during the school year (August-April).
Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday @ 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
4 hours a month
Each Member must participate in the annual YLB KickOff retreat in August and the End of Year Campout in April.
Each Member must attend three (3) WHI events, including one (1) summer adventure.
